A fundraising effort to help us live into our mission of proclaiming the hope of Jesus to Mosman and beyond.
For 2025 and beyond, we are seeking to raise funds to cover a dual phase program of capital works. Below is a brief overview of what we are seeking to do.
Phase 1 - The Roof ($250,000)
THE NECESSARY INVESTMENT
We’ve inherited a wonderful building. Other generations invested sacrificially so there could be a church serving this community. It is our job to ensure that their investment isn’t wasted.
Currently, rain causes flooding in the basement of Harbourside and leaks throughout the building. New stormwater systems are needed alongside significant roof replacement and repairs. The cost of these works will be $250,000 which we hope to raise in 2025.
Phase 2 - Auditorium Revive and Kids/Youth Renovations ($250,000)
INVESTING IN OUR MOST IMPORTANT SPACE AND THE FUTURE
Each Sunday, Harbourside’s auditorium is filled with people. It is our most versatile and important space. Stained and dated carpet, old chairs, and chipping paint limit the uses and warmth of the space. We want to bring the auditorium up to date with changes that make it a warm space that feels like home.
In the back of church vital ministry happens. Miniplay serves 70 families each week, Harbourside Youth gathers weekly, and 68 kids call Harbourside their home. Repairs and renovations out back are the final portion of this capital works plan. We are hoping to raise the second $250,000 for the auditorium and kids space renovations in 2026.
